The purpose of the Board
Development Committee is to recruit, develop and retain a governing
Board, which represents the range of the Community Foundations
donors and the residents of Ventura County. The Board Development Committee
also provides for the continuing education of the Board to ensure a
knowledgeable, informed and involved Board membership.

The Resource Center for Nonprofit
Management Advisory Committee promotes Ventura County nonprofits
effectiveness by increasing administrative and organizational capabilities
through access to and exchange of available information and expertise.
Their purpose is to build a comprehensive training and information resource
to strengthen Ventura County nonprofit organizations and to advise the
Community Foundation on how best to invest in the leaders and volunteers
of community-based organizations through education and training.

Technical Advisory Committee
The Technical Advisory Committee
(TAC) was established to increase the awareness and importance of philanthropy
among professional advisors and to encourage the development of permanent
charitable resources for Ventura County. In particular, the TAC increases
VCCFs outreach and exposure to the professional community and
advises the Foundation on technical and legal issues relative to charitable
giving.
