Planned Giving Institute 2011 Cycle Application >

The Planned Giving Institute is a comprehensive effort to expand resources available to Ventura County nonprofit organizations through planned and deferred gifts.  The concept, modeled on the successful efforts of the Community Foundation of Santa Cruz, involves hiring dedicated staff skilled and experienced in planned and deferred giving and making that staff expertise available to work directly with nonprofit organizations to build charitable capital through gift annuities, bequests and planned gifts.  We are happy to provide individualized service for up to six hours a month for ten months of the year. Services may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Board presentations (collectively and/or with individual board members)
  • Staff training
  • Marketing strategies
  • Gift Acceptance policies and procedures
  • Donor visits
  • Preparation of sample gift calculations

The PGI is an extension of how VCCF’s mission to “promote and enable philanthropy to improve our community for good for ever” engages nonprofits throughout Ventura County. It is our pleasure to partner with you to help enhance the financial future of your organization and enable donors throughout our community to leave legacies for the causes they love.
