Rebecca “Becca” Merrell
Netzel Grigsby Associates

Regional director for the Central Coast Region of Netzel GRIGSBY Associates, Rebecca has more than 20 years of successful fund development and nonprofit management experience. Whether as a consultant or on staff, Rebecca has partnered with a wide-variety of nonprofit organizations, guiding them to achieve their goals.

Among those who have benefited from her expertise are educational institutions, youth and human service organizations, health care organizations, as well as the arts, including; American Humanics-CSULA, Santa Barbara Zoo, Ojai Festivals, both Girl Scout and Boy Scout councils, American Red Cross, and several YMCA’s – to name just a few.

Rebecca’s extensive knowledge has been valuable to nonprofits in creating and implementing dynamic annual giving and major gifts programs, capital campaigns, and community gift campaigns. Her strategic approach to grantsmanship, volunteer management, marketing, and long term planning has served nonprofits well throughout her career.

Rebecca earned her bachelors degree in sociology from California State University, Northridge, graduating summa cum laude. She is the past president of the local chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and is a Certified Fund Raising Executive. In 2008, Becca was named Professional Fundraiser of the Year by AFP.
