As Chairman, CEO, and founder, Doug focuses on strategies impacting MobileCause and its leadership position in the marketplace including NPO segment strategy, customer service, retention, legal, investor, board and carrier relations. Alongside President and co-founder Daniel Scalisi together oversees MA activity, the development of The Innogive Foundation and various strategic partnerships.
Doug has facilitated capital totaling more than $500 million. He co-founded two nonprofits and built them to $20M and $30M respectively in annual revenue. He boasts 31 years of professional leadership experience in cause-related and non-profit institutions including higher education, social services, medical and faith, and has worked with established nonprofits and start-ups alike. He is a frequent speaker at nonprofit and technology conferences and represents MobileCause on radio, television, and in print media. He has written numerous articles and is also authoring a book entitled “The New Donor,” giving trends in the age of mobile.
With more than 16 years at Pepperdine University, Doug served successfully in numerous administrative roles related to university marketing, fundraising, board development and campaign management.
Doug is currently on the advisory board for Pelagique, a wireless and online medical information content provider that transforms advanced technologies and new media into medical training and consumer health products.He currently serves on the board of The Palmer Center for Entrepreneurialism and The Law at Pepperdine University’s School of Law. Previous non-profit advisory board contributions include Boy Scouts of America WLACC, Salute Heroes, Scimitar Leadership Academy, Seaver College Board of Visitors, and Younglife Malibu.
