I believe the Civic Alliance is important to the future of Ventura County because no other organization in Ventura County has the focus of bringing the 3E elements of our community together (Equity/Environment/Economy) with a focus on solving problems. Instead of having these 3E elements fighting one another, the Alliance gives us all a chance to focus on the big picture and to really make progress.
I have been a member of the Alliance for 8 years. The most important thing I have learned about Ventura County as a member of the Alliance is that all of us, no matter what our particular “E” might be, share many of the same needs and goals for ourselves and our community. Often times in the past we have been fighting each other over the way to achieve some of these common objectives.
Why should you join the Alliance as a steering committee or general member?
I believe that this partnership of community leaders really has a chance to make a difference in Ventura County. Being part of the Alliance is an opportunity to be part of this change and to help form its direction.
Why does the Alliance make a difference in my life as a professional and my life as a resident of Ventura County?
The Alliance provides a forum for civil interaction that is focused on making real change relative to the sustainability of our County. These changes envisioned will impact the personal and professional lives of all who live in Ventura County.
