I believe the Civic Alliance is important to the future of Ventura County because the Alliance is the only public-interest organization in the county that encompasses the interests of individuals and groups representing the three Es of sustainability – economy, environment and social equity – in achieving solutions to regional problems.

citizen participation in solving regional problems
cities to look at issues from a regional perspective as well as from individual cities’ perspective
all areas of the county, both east and west, to become involved in regional solutions.

Why should you join the Alliance as a steering committee or general member?
The Civic Alliance needs broad citizen engagement to be successful. Becoming a member offers an opportunity for individuals to serve the county in a way that will improve the lives of both present and future residents.
