I believe the Civic Alliance is important to the future of Ventura County because
The VCCA is the only non-profit civic-oriented organization that takes a broad and regional perspective on the entire County, promoting the health of the region through the various interests of the 3Es in a comprehensive manner: the environment, the economy and social equity.
I have been a member of the Alliance for 6 years. The most important thing I have learned about Ventura County as a member of the Alliance is [the importance of] the importance of civic engagement, to continue and promote civic discourse on issues of importance to the region, from sustainability, housing, to agriculture, jobs and education.
Why should you join the Alliance as a steering committee or general member?
To effectively make a difference in how the VCCA engage the local communities. I believe I can be effective in helping educate others on issues of importance to the community.
Why does the Alliance make a difference in my life as a professional and my life as a resident of Ventura County?
It is important for me to return to the community many of the benefits I draw from it, and the VCCA is a good fit for what I want to do and how to do it, both from as a professional and as resident of the County.
