This is a great opportunity to introduce friends and colleagues to the Social Justice Fund for Ventura County in general, and to the Giving Circle more specifically.

Please let us know you're coming.  Contact Lindsay Smith, lsmith@vccf.org, or 805.988.0196, ext. 115

Good News:

Thanks to your generosity, we have raised over $86,000 so far toward our goal of $100,000 for SJF's endowment.  That means only $14,000 is needed to make our match with the Irvine Foundation.  If you haven't already made your donation for 2009 and can do so before October 31st, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your gifts and participation at whatever level.

Dear Tricia

Our second year of grant-making has just concluded, with a total of $50,000 awarded to 7 organizations.  We are very pleased to announce the grant recipients below.

Please join us at our annual Social Justice Grantee Reception as we celebrate grassroots organizations working to create a more engaged, educated and empowered community.  Meet the grant recipients, learn firsthand about their projects, AND meet other progressive donors in our county.
