Barney Wilkerson Memorial Fund

Established on:  August 4, 2004

Purpose:  The primary purpose of the Fund is to support the growth of The Heritage Fund endowment.

Background:  This fund was created to give back to the County in which this family has lived since 1868.  The family believes that county museums are the primary resource for the history of this County, and that history museums have a more difficult time obtaining grants than art museums.  By supporting the Heritage Fund endowment, they can ensure that the history museums of Ventura County have a permanent source for grant monies.
