Membership Benefits

Gifts of all sizes are welcomed and appreciated by the Social Justice Fund. Your investment in the SJF provides you the opportunity to:

• Support a groundbreaking effort to create social change in Ventura County
• Learn about effective strategies and local organizations at the forefront of change
• Join with other people concerned with social justice issues in the County
• Receive the SJF e-newsletters and reports about the activities of the Fund, its grantees and members
• Receive a yearly report that reviews the impact of our grants
• Attend educational salons and forums to learn more about social justice in our community, as well as our annual reception to meet the grantees.

In addition to these benefits, donors who choose to actively participate in the Giving Circle – by making an annual investment or pledge of $500 or more* – will also have the chance to:

• Meet organizations and groups who are working for community change;
• Have a place at the table to discuss the highest priorities for social justice giving;
• Vote on how grant money will be used to make a real difference;
• Participate in the governance of SJF by sitting on a committee and collaboratively charting our future.

*Gifts to the Social Justice Fund may be made at any time. However, if you wish to participate in the annual grantmaking program, your gift or pledge form must be received by December 30 of each year for involvement in the next year’s grants cycle. Pledges must be accompanied by a minimum of $100 and the balance must be paid by April of each year.
