Simplify Charitable Giving

Century Circle

The Ventura County Community Foundation is inviting 100 leaders from throughout the county to join in partnership to strengthen the Foundation’s ability to promote and enable philanthropy.

In Ventura County, philanthropy helps connect donors and their desires to improve the communities where we live with the nonprofits helping the disadvantaged, feeding the hungry, healing the sick, and tending to old and young alike. Philanthropy also helps spark creativity in the arts, opens doors of education, opportunity and skills for our young, nurtures history, and provides sustenance and hope for our neighbors who need a supporting hand.

In a society where the public and private sectors are engaged in a great debate about roles and responsibilities to our communities, philanthropy is often the bridge between the expectations of the public purse and the demands of a decent society.

By joining the Century Circle, you can help the Foundation fulfill its mission in two ways. Half of your annual contribution will go to support the current year’s operating budget while the other half is invested in VCCF endowments to support operations in future years and/or (through the Community Response Fund) provide unrestricted grantmaking dollars to address community priorities. With your contribution, you can strengthen our work today and in the future. The minimum annual contribution is $1,000. Member levels include:

  • Permanent Founder Status: $10,000 (cumulative) payment(s) and/or pledge
  • Leadership Partner: $5,000 annual contribution
  • Sustaining Partner: $2,500 annual contribution
  • Annual Partner: $1,000 annual contribution

The Century Circle represents those closest to the mission of building philanthropy in Ventura County and who are willing to invest in the work of VCCF toward that end. In addition to recognition in our publications, members will be invited to an annual reception to hear of our results and plans, and to see the impact of their investment in the work of philanthropy throughout Ventura County.

For more information on how you can help VCCF reach its 2006-07 Century Circle goal of $200,000 in contributions, contact Hugh Ralston at or 805-988-0196, ext. 116.

Become a catalyst for community at a time when we need community more than ever. Join us and help make a difference, today and tomorrow.
