 Vielbig Family Fund

Purpose of the fund: The primary purpose of this fund is for general charitable purposes. The Vielbigs established this fund “to support projects in our community that reflect our values concerning the arts, social justice causes and other areas in our lives that are important to us.”
Background: Les and Judy created their family fund in 1992. According to the Vielbigs, they “want to share the good fortune we’ve had over the years with groups that can use some extra financial support and we want our children to be part of this ‘passing it on’ to the community that we love and which has been our home for over 40 years. We chose the Foundation on recommendation from our financial planner. We’ve been very impressed with how well they have managed and invested our money and their willingness to help us use the interest to fund several projects we have supported over the years. We chose an endowment fund because we want to continue to fund some of the organizations and projects we have chosen for many years to come, even when we are no longer here.”
