Purpose of the fund: The primary purpose of the fund is to provide a gifting vehicle for the family of Theodore R. Jensen and to provide support for youth-oriented and educational programs.

Background: “I created this fund for two primary reasons: 1) to protect my family from tax liabilities from tax deferred savings that I had accumulated and; 2) to teach and encourage philanthropic giving to my children and grandchildren. I looked at several foundations before selecting VCCF. However, VCCF was the only foundation that understood what I wanted to do with my grandchildren and would allow it to be done. God has blessed me in many ways. Sharing these gifts are a large part of who I am as a person. If we don’t take the time to teach our children and grandchildren the things that are important to us and why they are important, who will and what will they teach? Working with my grandchildren has been one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. I chose an endowment fund because I want this fund to go on to additional generations to teach the joy of giving and to learn about philanthropy.” ~Ted Jensen
