Purpose of the fund: The primary purpose of the Fund shall be to expand the range of appreciation of music and related arts primarily, although not necessarily exclusively, to the residents of Ventura County, through opportunities to experience (hear/see, study and enjoy) the artistic heritages of representative culture-specific musics of the world (especially those of non-Western cultures which have been comparatively neglected in the schools and concert halls of the United States) and through this effort to contribute to global intercultural understanding.
