Make a Donation >Bobbie Steindler Beatty Academic Opportunity Fund
In honor of Howie & Ann Steindler

Established by: Bobbie Steindler Beatty

Established on: June 21, 1999

Purpose of the fund: The primary purpose of this fund shall be to provide funds to deserving youth between the ages of 12-18 who reside in Oxnard, Port Hueneme and Camarillo to further and/or continue their academic progress.

Background: Bobbie Steindler Beatty created this fund to honor her father and mother, Howie and Ann Steindler. Howie Steindler committed his life to his family and his career. He trained and coached numerous young boxers, not only in the ring but also in life. Those that knew Ann best knew her for her generosity and kind heart. They both epitomized the phrase used to eulogize Howie: “It’s nice to be important but more important to be nice.” VCCF provided Bobbie with an opportunity to ensure that the memory and philosophy of her parents lived on in perpetuity.
