Purpose of the fund: The purpose of this fund is to support the Cornerstone Administrative Endowment Fund.
Background: A member of a pioneering Ventura County family, Alan Teague was the founding Chairman of VCCF, where he provided the leadership that guided VCCF from a mere idea to a $14 million dollar reality during its first decade. Mr. Teague received the Founder’s Award from VCCF because of his pioneering work with the Foundation and numerous other civic and political organizations in our county. He served as the leader of United Way of Ventura County for many years, helped establish the Santa Paula Community Fund, and has lent his knowledge and skills to organizations such as the Ojai Valley School, Santa Paula Memorial Hospital and the Smith Foundation. VCCF is proud to honor Alan Teague with the inaugural Founder’s Award in recognition of his community leadership, dedication, personal commitment and generosity. Mr. Teague demonstrated his commitment to Ventura County and the its Community Foundation through the creation of the Teague-McKevett Fund.
