McLean Fund

Purpose of the fund:  The purpose of this fund is to support the Cornerstone Administrative Endowment Fund.

Background:  Kate McLean was VCCF’s first President and CEO, working for the organization for nearly 13 years before her retirement.  Her leadership and vision is credited by many founding board members as a substantial contribution to the overall success of the Foundation during its early years.  John Newman, Founding director, wrote of Kate in a 2001 letter, “with her unique qualities, she has made it possible for us to attain goals far sooner than we dreamed.”  Kate remains actively involved in VCCF through the Social Justice Fund for Ventura County and her cornerstone fund.
