Mahan Cornerstone Fund

Purpose of the fund:  The primary purpose of the Fund is to support the growth of VCCF.

Background:  Mr. Ralph Mahan is a founding board member of the Ventura County Community Foundation was the Chairman of the committee that established the Cornerstone funds.

Mr. Mahan’s community involvement is evidenced by his decades of service to Ventura County.  He has served on the board of various organizations.  Giving back to the community appears to be tradition in the Mahan family, as Mahan’s great-great-grandfather, John Mahan, established the Pleasant Valley School District in 1868. 

Mr. Mahan has continued the tradition of giving by establishing four funds at the Ventura County Community Foundation, establishing his own legacy with the community.
