LaToya Ford is charged with creating and maintaining positive relationships with donors, assuring that they are satisfied with the outcome of their recommendations and her contact with them in an efficient manner while adhering to IRS and VCCF policy. LaToya also makes the process of grantmaking and scholarship awarding as agreeable as possible for the grantees.

LaToya assists Tina Knight in the Program and Grants Department at VCCF while maintaining the grant and scholarship database system for VCCF. LaToya also manages agency endowments, donor-advised funds, the Barbara Barnard Smith Fund for World Musics and the Bobbie Steindler Beatty Academic Opportunity Fund in Honor of Howie & Ann Steindler.

A Hueneme High School alumna, LaToya graduated from University of California, Riverside, with a bachelor’s degree in sociology/law and society before coming to VCCF in 2007.

LaToya says of her job: “I love knowing that what I do is changing lives, even though it's indirectly. Knowing that through my work students are fulfilling their dreams and people are getting the care and services they need is extremely rewarding.”
